Twilight Collection Dinner Candles are produced in Germany
using a drawing process which is one of the oldest candle production
techniques. They are made to burn smokeless, dripless and burn with a calm
flame in still air. During the drawing process the wick is repeatedly drawn
through hot wax. Each time more wax is accumulated around the wick until the
candle has reached the required thickness. It is a very slow process as more
than 1 kilometer of wick runs through the machine prior to the first candles
being ready. This drawing process create the unique finish of our Twilight
Dinner Candles and these coloured layers can be seen like the rings on a tree
trunk. Our candles are coloured throughout and thanks the production method
have a long burn time and a very attractive flame.

Only the highest quality raw material are used to create
Twilight Dinner Candles. All materials have been certified with the prestigious
RAL Quality Mark issued by the European Candle Association. We use only
high-quality, fully-refined paraffin which has been certified harmless for
human health and the environment. Only 100% cotton wicks are used and the dyes
used to create the vibrant colour are pure and suitable for use in toy
production in the EU.

Twilight is the magical time between light and dark. To
painters, it is the “blue hour”, to photographers it is known as “sweet light”.
It is at these times that we traditionally came together to take time to
acknowledge the beginning or end of a day.

Our Twilight Collection is built around the idea that our finely
crafted candles capture that same sweet light for everyone to enjoy. So take the
time to slow down, light one of our candles, and bask in Twilight.

a good idea to show your appreciation with a gift when invited to someone’s

Burn Baby, Burn!

Tips for Burning Pillar Candles

Do you really need tips on how to burn a candle? This may
sound a little crazy, but there are a few simple things you can do to help your
candles burn evenly and extend their life.

A
quality pillar candle, like our Twilight candles, should burn so that it leaves
a melt pool that reaches about 1/4" from the edge of the candle.

The first time you burn your pillar
candle, burn it for approximately 1 hour per inch of candle diameter to form a complete
melt pool. Example: if your candle is 3" in diameter, it will take
approximately 3 hours of continuous burning to get a full melt pool. This will
help to prevent your candle from 'tunneling' down and leaving a lot of wasted
wax.

As
the candle burns, cup your hands around the outer rim of the candle, gently
running your thumbs around the edge of the top of the pillar, pushing in
slightly to form a ridge. This helps to your pillar to burn completely
and evenly, leaving no wasted or unused wax which extends the life of your
candle.

Always
use a wick dipper or candle snuffer. Blowing out the flame on a pillar candle
(or any candle, for that matter!), can push the wick to one side, making it
burn more unevenly and possibly causing your candle to drip. When snuffing
your candle, gently press the flame into the melt pool, then lift out of the
melt pool before it cools. This will help keep it from smoking as you
extinguish it.
